Less than Fifty: Of Wrapping Things Up

You read that correctly. Less than fifty days from now (forty-seven, to be exact) I'll be boarding a plane headed to Uganda.

I'm a bit nervous. I just found out that I'm actually boarding this plane by myself... my parents aren't coming to drop me off. But at the same time, I have security in God and I know He will get me there safely (and without too many tears... lol).

Wrapping Things Up:

  • My finances are officially raised! God has provided over and above my expectations, and I'm so excited and relieved that I will not have any financial worries while I'm on the field. (If you are reading this and you find yourself in a financial pickle, be encouraged. God is faithful! [Malachi 3:10])
  • I had been tutoring during the school year, helping a Hispanic lady to read and write English better. We got to be really good friends, and I hope we will remain good friends! Unfortunately, I tutored her for the last time this past Monday. I'll miss her!
  • My "cousin-in-law" Stephanie and I were leading a small group together this semester at our church. We both love Pinterest (okay, who doesn't?!), and we had so much fun sharing Pinterest crafts and recipes with ladies from the church. We had our last group meeting this past week, and please allow me to give a shout out to Jessie's "Better-Than-Anything Oreo Cake"!
(Picture Frame Earring Holder we made!)

  • Please continue to pray for discipline and focus for me as I finish up my last few classes for school. I would love to be done by early or mid-May. One less thing to worry about.

Love you all! <3
